About Us

Edmonton and Area Child and Family Services Authority (CFSA) is one of 10 Regional Authorities that works on behalf of the Ministry of Alberta Human Services and in partnership with the communities served, to plan and deliver a range of services to children, youth and families in the greater Edmonton area and surrounding counties of Leduc, Parkland, Strathcona, Sturgeon and East Yellowhead.

Our focus is:
Prevention: promoting the development and well-being of children, youth and families
Preservation and Protection: keeping children, youth and families safe and protected
Partnerships: promoting healthy communities for children, youth and families

Many of the Neighbourhood Offices are involved with reporting, assessing and investigating concerns surrounding a child or youth’s safety and wellbeing. They also provide ongoing case management for children, youth and families in need of Child Intervention Services.

The Neighbourhood Offices can also help you with:

  • connecting to community resources and parenting supports
  • accessing information about Prevention and Early Intervention Services
  • accessing and obtaining information about financial supports including Family Support for Children with Disabilities Program, Child and Youth Support Program and Supports for Permanency Program
  • accessing information about becoming a foster or adoptive parent, Kinship Care or assisting with obtaining guardianship of a family member in need
